Q: How far is Santa's from the airport?
A: 33 miles
It's an easy, relaxing, & beautiful drive once you get out to the 'country' and away from the suburbs of Honolulu,(which end just 8 miles away from the airport) Another 25 miles and you are kicking' back!
Q: Should we rent a car?
A: Absolutely!
The bus is not an option, and a Taxi would cost over $100.00. Cars are usually available in Hawaii for about $150-200/week. Hawaii is one of the cheapest places in America to rent a car. Having a car gives you the freedom to explore at your leisure as well!
Q: Are there places to eat nearby?
A: Oh baby are there!!!
We have everything from famous Hawaiian plate lunch trucks, to pizzerias, Mexican, Seafood, Sandwich Shoppes, Thai Delights, formal sit-down dining and more. You won't be hurting for things to eat!
Q: Do you supply beach towels, snorkel gear, and surf/boogie boards?
A: We have a good selection. Rental gear is available as well all over town!
We have plenty of beach towels. Beach chairs and beach umbrellas are also provided. Santa's fabulous gazebo is just steps from the beach, but it gets you out of the sun for a bit to cool off. Many guests choose to bring their own snorkel gear because of fit and comfort. Boogie boards are ready for you to use and while we have a few surfboards, we highly recommend taking a surf lesson or renting boards in Haleiwa town, just 5 miles away. It is a better location for beginner surfers and it is not that expensive!
Q: Do you make breakfast for guests?
A: Sadly ...no. Happily....Kind of !!!
We are caught in a Catch-22 of Hawaiian regulations. Since we are not a licensed commercial kitchen(and cannot become one, ironically), we do not prepare breakfast for you.
However....
Santa's kitchen is well stocked with eggs, muffins, bread, sodas, milk, condiments, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, cereals, utensils, flatware, All-Clad pots & pans and just about everything you would find in a 'chef's kitchen,' to get your day started right.
Bed & Breakfast...make your own!
Q: Do you have a cleaning fee or other fees?
A: No we do not. Never had 'em, never will. We also have no other fees besides Hawaii State Tax. We also do not require deposits. A hand shake is good enough for us at Santa's. That's just the way we do business here.
You will be happy to see that we personally clean our own B&B to our own exact standards. You will find Santa's in immaculate condition upon your arrival.
Our only requests of our guests are to...
1. Be safe in the water and on the roads.
2. Use the hose at the top of the beach stairs to
leave the sand where it lives...on the beach!
3. Since we are on very primitive water disposal systems out there in the country, we also request guests to use water conservatively inside the house. While there is a very nice indoor shower, we encourage our guests to experience the magic and beauty of our outdoor H/C lava rock shower. This is a slice of heaven at Santa's and guests rave about showering in private while looking out at the ocean. Try it...you will love it!
Q: Are there movies available?
A: Yes there are! Hundreds of them! 2 color TV's, and 2 DVD players so if you are a party of 4, there is no squabbling about what to watch!. And Foodland Grocery Store is just 1 mile from Santa's. Besides groceries (of course!) Foodland has a RedBox DVD Rental machine. Long's Drug Store is 5 miles away in Haleiwa for any prescriptions or extras you may need during your stay with us. We are in the country, not in the boonies!
Q: Hi Speed Internet? Laundry, Phone Service?
A: It is all here. And for your convenience, it is all (thank goodness!) complimentary. Free high speed wired AND wireless internet, Cable TV, laundry facilities with large capacity front load washer/dryer, detergent and dryer sheets, guarantee our services. If something is not to your liking, out of place, broken or needs an explanation, we are on site to help. Simply let us know and we will make it right for you...right away!

Q: Is there private parking?

A: But of course madams and monsieurs!
Santa's has gated private parking for our guests.
An automated gate ensures security and privacy.
Q: Is there shopping nearby ?
A: Til ya drop ! You betcha !
Haleiwa is an old and quaint town with lots of arts, crafts, fun stores, and boutiques.
Park your car and walk the town.
Grab a bite and you are styling!
